Are Rev. Jeremiah Wright‘s chickens “coming home to roost?”

The daughter of President Obama’s former pastor was indicted Wednesday on charges of money laundering and lying to federal investigators.

Jeri Wright, daughter of the infamous Rev. Jeremiah Wright, was charged with participating in a fraud scheme involving a $1.25 million state job-training grant geared toward minorities, according to the Chicago Tribune.

She is accused of helping former police chief Regina Evans convert fake paychecks from Evans’ nonprofit to Evans’ personal use, allegedly hiding money that was supposed to be used to train minority and female workers in the building trades, the Tribune reports.

Yet another example of the rampant corruption centered around government grants designed to help the “less fortunate.”

Rev. Wright, the man who officiated at Obama’s wedding, baptized his two daughters and was his pastor for 20 years, once described himself as a “second father” to Obama.

Thus far, his “honorary child” has managed to avoid any state or federal indictments.
