A discussion with civil rights attorney Leo Terrell and TeaParty.net chief strategist Niger Innis degenerated into a shouting match on the Sean Hannity Show last night over remarks Dr. Benjamin Carson made previously when defining marriage.

In an earlier show, Carson commented that, “Marriage is between a man and a woman. It’s a well-established — uh — pillar of society. And no group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality — I don’t care what they are, they don’t get to change the definition. So it’s not something that’s against gays, it’s — it’s against anybody who wants to come along and change the fundamental definition of pillars of society,” according to Fox News.

In a written statement, Carson later made it clear that “it was not my intention to equate these groups. They are obviously not comparable.”

After Hannity introduced his guests, he said that the gay marriage issue “is only a side-issue. The big issue even before this is, ‘if you’re African American, and you’re conservative, you’re vilified, you are demonized, you are called names, you are attacked. That is the ongoing epidemic that goes on. There’s no freedom of speech for African-Americans.”

“No, no, that’s not true,” shouted Terrell. “Sean Hannity, you created a monster! Ben Carson, you’re a doctor. You’re not a politician!” At one point he claimed Carson thought of gays as “social deviants,” and “this guy has equated homosexuality to bestiality.”

Innis disagreed. “I think Ben carson is a hero. He’s a wonderful role model. He’s a credit to the race — the human race.”

It wasn’t long before Terrell began shouting over Immis and Hannity, forcing Hannity to cut off Terrell’s mic.

At several other points during the exchange, Hannity tried to steer the conversation away from Carson and onto another subject, but Terrell would have none of it, repeating, “You created a monster Sean Hannity!”

Eventually Terrell removed his earpiece and refused to participate.
