Bombastic Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., looking as if he forgot to brush his hair before leaving the house, demanded the end of sequestration on Thursday.
In delivering a petition to House Speaker John Boehner’s office with names gathered through an online effort by several radical, far-left groups, Grayson said sequestration “will cause pain,” CNS News reported.
Grayson also forgets that sequestration was an idea promoted by the White House, and that President Obama said in November, “Already some in Congress are trying to undo these automatic spending cuts. My message to them is simple: No.”
Spewing the inflammatory, partisan rhetoric he has come to be known for, Grayson implied the cuts will lead to the elimination of Social Security by mean ol’ Republicans: “This is the first step down a slippery slope towards you work until you die. That’s why this has to be fought so vigorously.”
