Video: Fla. AG Pam Bondi pushes ban on synthetic drugs

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi has been very vocal about her efforts to ban synthetic drugs, and has been a key proponent of the legislation now making its way through legislative committees.

“Synthetic drugs, sometimes marketed as incense, potpourri, K2, spice, and bath salts, can cause psychotic episodes, hallucinations, seizures, paranoia, tremors and more,” Bondi said. “Synthetic drugs are a danger to users and those around them, and I applaud Senator Bradley and the Senate Appropriations Committee on their commitment to passing legislation banning these drugs.”

A new video has been released that explains the danger of synthetic drugs, particularly to children, and outlines Bondi’s commitment to bring to justice those who manufacture and sell these dangerous compounds.

“Parents, please tell your children about the dangers of these drugs,” Bondi says in the video. “Anyone who profits by hurting others with these dangerous substances are going to hear from this office, and they’re going to hear from me; that is, just before we introduce them to their new home: prison.”
