School praises: ‘Obama ran…so our children could fly’

Since President Obama’s election, educators and other authority figures have used school children to sing the praises of our 44th president.

Who can forget “Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Barack! Hussain! Obama!” chanted by children at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township, NJ?

After the furor that stunt created, including cries of brainwashing and indoctrination, things seemed to die down a bit.

But then, during the 2012 presidential campaign, the advertising agency of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners released a pro-Obama commercial featuring children singing a “parade of imaginary horribles.”

The ad was produced for The Future Children Project, which included the following message:

“Re-electing President Obama is a momentous decision that will require every single voter.  What would the children of the future say if we let them down this November?”

The ad has since been removed.

The latest example comes from Livsey Elementary School in DeKalb county, Georgia, where, EAGNews.com reported the following message was prominently displayed in celebration of Black History Month.

“Rosa sat…so Martin could walk.
Martin walked…so Obama could run.
Obama ran…so our children could fly.”

“Rosa” was Rosa Parks, who refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Ala. bus to a white passenger. Congress later called her “the first lady of civil rights.”

“Martin” refers to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the famed civil rights leader of the 1960s.
