Date set for Clinton’s Benghazi testimony, no ‘bombshells’ expected

After recuperating from illness, a concussion and a blood clot, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to deliver long-awaited testimony Wednesday on the Benghazi consulate attack.

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told Fox News that he visited Libya just after the attack and spoke with people who felt they did not receive adequate support from the State Department.

An investigative report released in December by the Accountability Review Board said the security plan in Libya was “grossly inadequate” and the compound where the U.S. ambassador was killed was “profoundly weak” in physical security.

Corker said Clinton has been forthcoming in her limited public comments on the attack, and he doesn’t expect bombshells. He said there will be a “top-to-bottom” review of the State Department with more oversight by Congress.

“There’s gonna be a lot of questions about the overall policies of this administration,” Corker said. “This is just the beginning.”
