Satanic influences foretell Scott-Crist election in Florida

satanic-templeWith the Oompa Loompa tan man all but announced as the Democrat candidate to challenge incumbent Gov. Rick Scott, we can expect the 2014 Florida gubernatorial election to be one for the record books.

The aforementioned Charlie Crist has prominent national support, said to include the President himself.  This largess being the result of having attorney John Morgan firmly in his corner.

As it is, Morgan has appreciable influence in the Obama White House considering he collected more than $1.7 million for Obama’s re-election or for the Democratic National Committee, making him one of the campaign’s biggest bundlers nationwide.

And Morgan will make out like a bandit if his investment in Crist results in a second stint as Governor.

This is relevant because it’s indicative of the tactics we can expect in the quest to unseat Gov. Scott.  With such a Far Left flavor, we can expect a heavy dose of ridicule early and often in an attempt to establish a preferred narrative in the race.

And right on cue, the Miami Herald reports that Satanists “from all over Florida” will gather at the State Capitol on Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. to applaud Scott’s backing of SB 98, according to a news release by a group called the Satanic Temple.

SB 98 is the bill Scott signed in March that allows school districts to create policies allowing students to deliver “inspirational messages” at public events.

According to the groups spokesman Lucien Greaves, who also goes by “Overlord”, the Satanic Temple plans to have more than 100 members of the group, clad in black robes on hand to show support for Scott’s “unwavering fortitude and progressive resolve in his defense of religious liberty.”

That should make for a great photo-op… and the emphasis on the term ‘progressive’ is mine.

Interestingly, Greaves hails not from the Sunshine State, but from Cambridge, Mass.

Did I mention that Morgan also raised money for Elizabeth Warren, the Massachusetts Democrat who defeated incumbent Republican Scott Brown for the U.S. Senate?

While Rick Scott will find it increasingly difficult to be on the receiving end of positive media coverage leading up to the election, he can be sure they’ll jump on stories such as this with enthusiasm.  Yep, one for the books…
