The Kansas City Chiefs will play their scheduled Sunday game against the Carolina Panthers in Arrowhead Stadium despite the tragedy of Saturday’s murder-suicide by linebacker, Jovan Belcher.
The KC Chiefs issued the following statement on their website:
After discussions between the league office, Head Coach Romeo Crennel and Chiefs team captains, the Chiefs advised the NFL that it will play tomorrow’s game vs. the Carolina Panthers at its originally scheduled time.
Multiple sports news sources are reporting there is a wide difference of opinion on whether the Chiefs should play Sunday or postpone the game and play on a future date.
