In what may become yet another scandal in President Obama’s “most transparent government ever,” it has been discovered that Obama appointee, EPA Administrator, Lisa Jackson, and other top officials, created secret personal email accounts to conduct government business out of the public’s eye which is a violation of the Freedom of Information Act and other federal open-records laws.

According to The Washington Times, while researching his book, “The Liberal War on Transparency,” author Christopher Horner, of the conservative non-profit think-tank, Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), brought to light the use of these secret email accounts, including one used by Jackson under the alias “Richard Windsor.”

The CEI website has a copy of the federal lawsuit they filed asking that the personal emails sent by top EPA officials be made public. Meanwhile, The Free Beacon reports that GOP lawmakers on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology have launched an investigation into these secret emails:

Members of the House Science Committee demanded information on the secret email addresses from Jackson and expressed concerns that conducting official business through such means may violate the Federal Records Act, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Presidential Records Act, and other transparency laws.
