Appearing Monday on CNN’s Starting Point, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was quizzed by host Soledad O’Brien about his previous comment regarding the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi. Giuliani said that the White House’s reaction and explanation to the attack constituted a “cover up.”
O’Brien referenced a comment by former chief strategist for the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign, Matthew Dowd, that it could take a while to determine what actually happened in Libya, as it had in determining if there were weapons of mass destruction in the region.
“So we’re going to blame this on Bush, too?” Giuliani asked.
