The James Madison Institute will host a debate on Thursday, Oct. 25 discussing “The Role of Government in Economic Growth and Job Creation”. Both sides are well represented with featured speakers Michael Grunwald of Time Magazine and Matt Kibbe of FreedomWorks.
The event will be held at the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center, Nova Southeastern University, 3100 Ray Ferraro Jr Blvd – Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315.

MICHAEL GRUNWALD, a Harvard Graduate, is an author and senior national correspondent for TIME Magazine. In 2006, he released his first book, “The Swamp: The Everglades, Florida, and the Politics of Paradise.” In August 2012, Simon & Schuster published his second book, “The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era.” He is a frequent pundit on television and was recently on “The Colbert Report.”
MATT KIBBE, president & CEO of FreedomWorks, is a national public policy expert, bestselling author and political commentator. He is coauthor with Dick Arney of the New York Times bestseller “Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto.” Kibbe is also a frequent television and radio personality, and was a recent panelist on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
