Given Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “red line” address to the U.N. last month, this speech U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Fla. delivered on December 12, 2010 seems almost prophetic.
“When someone is driving a knife in my chest, I think the whole course of action of ‘let’s have an intellectual discourse’ is over.”
West has long admired Israel, and Biz Pac Review Israeli correspondent Marc Kahlberg recently reported on West’s visit to that country in his popular op-ed Allen West’s visit to Israel schools Obama in leadership.
It was also a prelude to the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya that led to the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. For close to two weeks afterwards, Obama administration officials, including the president himself, blamed the incident on a politically incorrect video that few had even seen. “When tolerance becomes a one-way street, it leads to cultural suicide.”
