GOP chair goes with Jax for School Board

School Board District 1 is one of the few reliably Republican districts left in Palm Beach County, so even in a nonpartisan race, GOP endorsements matter.

Christine Jax is running for the seat against Michael Murgio, who was endorsed by The Palm Beach Post.

Palm Beach County Republican Party Chairman Sid Dinerstein recently indicated that he would be including Jax in his “Sid’s Pick” guide. Dinersetin’s voter guide represents his personal choices , and it’s not an official party endorsement, but it will signal to GOP voters in the district which way the party is leaning.
“Christine Jax is sticking up for the kids who need to have a choice of schools,” Dinerstein said. “She’s actually willing to do what needs to be done.”
(Disclosure: I have personally endorsed Jax for School Board.)
Jax has racked up an impressive and bipartisan array of endorsements by people who usually don’t agree on much, including the Business Political Action Committee (BIZPAC),  the Northern Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce (NorthPAC), the South Florida 9-12 Leadership Team, the Professional Firefighters/Paramedics of Palm Beach County and the Police Benevolent Association.
