Who is political newcomer James Ryan O’Hara?

James Ryan O’Hara is a newcomer to politics, but not to the challenges of maintaining a successful business environment under difficult regulatory and taxing laws.

Running a successful business in this economy, he said, is what makes him the perfect candidate for the Florida House seat in newly carved District 81. The western Palm Beach County boundaries of the district put him in an area that places a high value on agricultural issues.

O’Hara will take on seasoned Democratic politician, Kevin Rader, who served in the Florida House from 2009 – 2011, until he lost his seat attempting a run for state senate. Rader fought the Democratic incumbent Steve Perman in the primary to earn the opportunity to run against O’Hara.

Listen to what O’Hara had to say when we caught up to him last week at the Delray Alliance candidates’ forum.
