Dem senator uses tacky insult to describe GOP congressional candidate

South Florida Democrats have been wracked by anti-Christian and anti-Israel scandals in the last few months, but that hasn’t deterred some Democratic leaders from using vulgar insults to describe Republicans.

State Sen. Eleanor Sobel, D-Hollywood, introduced Democratic congressional candidate Lois Frankel at the opening of her Wilton Manors campaign office on Monday by calling Frankel’s Republican opponent,  Adam Hasner, a vulgar name.

While Sobel didn’t actually use the word “a–h—“ to describe Hasner, her meaning was clear, and the sparse crowd dutifully cackled.
In July, one of Palm Beach County’s representatives to the Democratic National Committee, Evelyn Garcia, was forced to resign after her anti-Israel emails surfaced. Just last week, the chairman of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party, Mark Alan Siegel, was also forced to resignafter a video of his anti-Christian tirade at the Democratic National Convention went viral.
While Sobel’s expletive was not a religious slur, it was offensive nonetheless, and says more about the speaker, and perhaps her party, than the insult’s target.
