Efforts yesterday to reach Gannon for comment were unsuccessful.
The tax collector doesn’t offer goods or services we especially desire. Therefore, when we dial her office up, we have simple expectations — to be treated with courteousness and respect. Taxpayers don’t want to walk away with the impression that we’re funding a party.
