Alan Grayson Using Giffords Tragedy to Raise Money For What?

So many questions, so little time.  Fortunately, for me, the target focus today is from the left side of the aisle…FAR left, so I can anticipate little flak criticism for this position.

Everyone’s favorite villian anti-hero, Alan Grayson, former Congressman and now private citizen, sent out a fund raising e-mail today in which he says former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin “instigated” a stream of violence and threats of violence that led to the attack on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

In the e-mail, Grayson points to various comments Palin has made over time, including a comment that was made when she “came to my district, and told her people to “take me out.”

Hmmm…maybe you’re on to something here Mr. Grayson, Sarah Palin so declared and we did take you out vote you out!  By eighteen percentage points!

But I digress…the first question, is Alan Grayson using the Giffords tragedy to raise money?  He references Rep. Giffords eight times in the e-mail that conveniently has a big red ‘Contribute’ button prominently located at the end.

And, the e-mail has a disclaimer that says; ‘Paid for and Authorized by the Committee to Elect Alan Grayson’.  Why is Alan Grayson sending out a fund raising email when he does not currently hold office and has not declared his candidacy for any public office?

Perish the thought, but does this mean that Grayson will follow through on the implied threats suggestion to the citizens of FL-CD8 that he may run again?

Also, as a former Congressman – I get far more enjoyment than I should in saying that – does Grayson own the email list that is made up of his once constituency?  People like myself, who signed on to my Congressman’s email list to stay abreast of what is happening in my district.

Not sure of the answer to that, however, it seems that list would remain with the seat, does it not?

As for Grayson’s comments on the Giffords tragedy, very few are sitting on the edge of their seat anticipating what he thinks.  His comments in the e-mail are the typical one sided rubbish we’ve come to expect from the far left.  I do have to say, it is the very height of hypocrisy that Alan ‘Die Quickly’ Grayson has the gall to question anyone’s rhetoric.

And while I’m on the soapbox, how is it that the talking heads on MSNBC keep having Grayson on to analyze what the Democrats did wrong in the 2010 election.  Am I the only one who sees the irony of a one term incumbent Congressman who lost his re-election bid by nearly 20% offering advice on how to win elections?

Alan Grayson – more fun than a body should be allowed!
