TSA, Napolitano And Obama; A National Embarrassment

This video speaks volumes.

It speaks to the ineptitude of U.S. Government bureaucracy, where rules are rules and procedure must be followed regardless of the individual circumstances.

Unless, of course, you are a Muslim.

By now, we have all heard the stories of the TSA forcing a cancer-surviving flight attendant to remove her prosthetic breast, or the cancer survivor who, due to an “enhanced” TSA pat-down breaking the seal on his urastomy bag, was left humiliated, in tears, and covered in his own urine.

We’ve seen the video of the mother holding her 3 yr old daughter, who’s screaming from fright, while being ‘patted down’ by TSA.

Let’s be clear about one thing, the fact that the TSA is being so rigid in the application of the ‘new’ screening standards is not being determined at the ground level.  This decision is coming from above.  The question we all need to ask is why?  Is the goal safety or submission?

This video speaks to the failed ‘one size fits all’ Progressive mentality that attempts to remove human judgement from the equation.

A mentality that says we, as Americans, are inherently bad people and cannot be trusted to make fair and reasonable decisions without prejudice.  That the benevolent federal government, now being led by the intellectually elite far left,  must step in to protect the rights of oppressed Muslims against the sins of the American people.

More than anything, though, this video speaks to the tolerance of the American people.  Can you image how the father in this video must feel as he watches his 4 yr old son being treated as a ‘potential terrorist’?

Is our destination so important, the trip so vital, that we sacrifice the humiliation of our very own children to proceed?  What an incredible sociological experiment taking place right now in this country to see just how much the American people are willing to tolerate to ensure safety and security – of which, the TSA delivers neither.

If you look back on our storied history, not that very many do these days, particularly not in our public schools, you will see that the American Revolution was brewing for decades.  The colonists tolerated the tyrannical actions of King George for years and years, trying all means possible to affect the situation for the better before resorting to arms.

Not that I am suggesting that it come to that.

I am suggesting that the TSA, Janet Napolitano and by extension, Barack Obama, have become a national embarrassment.  One can only imagine what the world thinks of us as they watch these videos.  Have we become a land where political correctness runs amuck, a land where common sense no longer prevails, even at the expense of our children?

I’m also suggesting that if America expects to remain the land of the free, the citizens of this country must draw a line in the sand and say, as did our Founding Fathers, don’t tread on me!  Just as it was back then, it’s a difficult place to be, just as it was then, sacrifices will have to be made.

One distinct advantage we have, because our forefathers made that difficult choice, is that we do not have to sacrifice our lives…yet, are we willing to sacrifice our fortune and our sacred honor?

Or the dignity of our children…?
