Beyond that, the story draws attention to a much needed action, which is shedding the light of justice on any possible connections between Democrat incumbent Alan Grayson and the Florida TEA Party political party.
The citizens of this state have every right to expect fair and impartial elections, which is not the case if two parties are conspiring to affect the outcome. It’s time for all involved to come clean and clear up any concerns before November 2nd. Stonewalling only denies the people of this state the reassurance needed to trust the election results.

Tea Party Activists Will Try To Subpoena Grayson, Guetzloe

Orlando SentinelTea party activists say they’ll try to serve subpoenas today on Democratic U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson and Orlando political consultant Doug Guetzloe in an attempt to prove they conspired to create the Florida Tea Party and field a spoiler candidate in Grayson’s race.
If the legal move is successful, it could provide ammunition against Grayson in the weeks leading up to his Election Day showdown with Republican challenger Dan Webster. It’s the latest twist in a months-long battle over tea party identity — a battle that’s grown statewide but is centered in Grayson’s Central Florida district.
Members of the tea party movement point to ties between Grayson, a liberal Democrat, and Guetzloe, a Republican consultant and one of the founders of the Florida Tea Party political party. Among those ties: Grayson’s campaign has paid Victoria Torres, a little known Republican pollster, for campaign polling. She’s worked with Guetzloe for years, and has since signed on as a Florida Tea Party candidate in another district.
Guetzloe also has filed a defamation lawsuit against tea party activists Tim McClellan and Everett Wilkinson of South Florida, and Cheryl Matchett of Maitland, claiming the accusations they’ve made against him have hurt his reputation.
Wade Vose, a Winter Park attorney who represents the three activists, told the Orlando Sentinel that he would begin serving subpoenas on Grayson, Guetzloe and Torres this morning. He will try to force them to give depositions in the case before Election Day.“We are going to be compelling them to appear at those depositions with a number of documents, including all communications Grayson has had Doug Guetzloe or [Torres’] Public Opinion Strategies,” Vose said.
They’re also seeking bank records from Guetzloe and several companies he controls, and from Torres and Public Opinion Strategies.
