Seminole County School Board Member Diane Bauer Endorses Craig Miller

Seminole County Republican businessman Craig Miller, candidate for District 24’s U.S. Congressional Seat, today announced that he has been endorsed by Seminole County School Board member Diane Bauer. Mrs. Bauer was first elected in 1998 and served four years as Vice Chairman. She was elected and served as Chairman of the Board in 2007. Mrs. Bauer has been a public school activist for nearly four decades and is one of the most respected names in Seminole County.

“What impresses me about Craig Miller is his successful business background along with the thousands of jobs he has created, particularly here in Central Florida” stated Diane Bauer. “He is a true conservative and has a record of over 25 years as an effective business leader. Craig will bring that experience to bear on the tremendous challenges facing our country. His service in the Vietnam War along with his impact on our state and county since bringing his company here in 2005 contributed to my decision to endorse him. Others talk about the prospect of creating jobs, but Craig has created countless employment opportunities throughout his career.

Although there are many fine Republican candidates seeking election in District 24, it is important to keep in mind that our ultimate goal is to nominate the candidate who has the best chance to unseat the current incumbent, Suzanne Kosmas. Craig Miller will take on the Obama, Pelosi, Kosmas’ liberal big government, big tax, spending agenda. Because I know that he will fight for the ideals that keep America strong, he has my vote. I ask for yours on his behalf.”.

Craig Miller responded, “Diane Bauer has been a tireless advocate for children and led the way for Seminole County to have “A” rated schools while holding the line on spending. She understands that budgets must be reflective of the economic times in which we live. Her endorsement is a true validation of my candidacy as her decisions are always based on what the right decisions are for her constituents and for our children.”

When Craig was just 13 he went to work washing dishes at the Neptune Restaurant in Rockledge, Florida. He graduated from Cocoa High and served in Vietnam. He was stationed at McCoy and Patrick Air Force Bases. He met his wife Susan while working at the Colony Theater in Winter Park and then graduated from UCF. Craig led Pizzeria Uno and Ruth’s Chris Steak House – creating thousands of jobs and building hundreds of restaurants across America. Craig lives in Seminole County with his wife Susan and is the father of three grown children and one grandchild. His mother and sister still live in Brevard County.
