Sandy Adams Endorsed By National Rifle Association for Congress in FL-24
Orlando, FL – The National Rifle Association, has endorsed Sandy Adams for U.S. Congress, District 24. NRA supports candidates who have a strong record of protecting Second Amendment Rights.
In a statement NRA Chairman Chris Cox said “based on your strong record in support of our Second Amendment rights, self-defense, and anti-crime issues during your eight years in the Florida House of Representatives” He continued by adding “We particularly appreciate your co-sponsorship and vote in support of legislation to prohibit gun registration (HB155), and your votes to protect gun owners’ right to keep and bear arms in motor vehicles (HB503), Florida’s “Castle Doctrine” law (SB436), and your vote to prohibit gun confiscation during declared states of emergency (HB285). We also appreciate your signing of the amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in the historic case of McDonald v.City of Chicago, arguing that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental, individual right for all law-abiding Americans.”
In response to the endorsement Sandy Adams said “Our constitutional rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment are the foundation of freedom and democracy in America. I am proud to have earned the support of the NRA and will continue to support the right to bear arms and defend the rights and privacy of gun owners here in the State of Florida.”
In the Florida House, Sandy has fought for legislation protecting the privacy of concealed weapon holders and voted to support stand your ground legislation.
