Former Orange County REC Chair Jerry Braley Endorses Craig Miller
Â
Seminole County Republican businessman Craig Miller, candidate for District 24’s U.S. Congressional Seat, today announced that he has been endorsed by the former chairman of the Orlando Republican Executive Committee, Jerry Braley. Chairman Braley served OCREC in this leadership post for eight years. Additionally, he served as the co-chair for the election of Jeb Bush for Governor in all three campaigns and President George W. Bush in both campaigns. He has been a leader in the construction and development industry for 50 years as a high level executive. Additionally, as a citizen activist, he has served on the Orange County Charter Review Commission, been an Elder of the Presbyterian Church of America for 30 years, and served his country as a Korean War Veteran from 1951-1953.
“I am confident that Craig Miller is the best candidate to take on Suzanne Kosmas and win back the seat for the Republican Party, “stated Braley. “He is a decorated Vietnam Veteran and a true conservative that we can rely on to balance the budget, reduce taxes, and create jobs. I urge everyone to join me in supporting his campaign.”
Miller responded, “Jerry Braley is a household name among Central Florida Republicans. As a business leader himself, Jerry understands that we can’t tax and spend our way to prosperity and I am appreciate that he is backing my candidacy.”
When Craig was just 13 he went to work washing dishes at the Neptune Restaurant in Rockledge, Florida. He graduated from Cocoa High and served in Vietnam. He was stationed at McCoy and Patrick Air Force Bases. He met his wife Susan while working at the Colony Theater in Winter Park and then graduated from UCF. Craig led Pizzeria Uno and Ruth’s Chris Steak House – creating thousands of jobs and building hundreds of restaurants across America. Craig lives in Seminole County with his wife Susan and is the father of three grown children and one grandchild. His mother and sister still live in Brevard County.
