O’Donoghue Continues to Dominate GOP Money Race

Conservative small businessman reports more than double cash-on-hand than closest primary opponents

(Winter Park, Fl)– Conservative small businessman Bruce O’Donoghue today announced that his campaign for Congress banked nearly $173,000 in the second quarter of 2010, raising over $475,000 for his campaign overall – almost twice the amount of his nearest competitor in the 8th Congressional District’s Republican primary. O’Donoghue also announced that he has nearly $300,000 in cash-on-hand for his primary campaign, more than double his nearest Republican opponents.

“The support our campaign has received in the five short months we’ve been in this race demonstrates Central Floridians are hungry for a new leader, who’s not a politician,” said O’Donoghue. “I’m most proud that our donations have come from right here in Central Florida, a true testament to the grassroots campaign we’ve been running since day one.”

Below is a break-down of the cash-on-hand each candidate is legally permitted to spend in the Republican primary. It’s worth noting that it’s impermissible to spend funds raised for the general election in the primary election on August 24th.
