James DeCocq Qualifies For Florida House, District 33 Race

James DeCocq can actually bring back hope to our State’s future, is not politically entangled, serves no special interests, and can actually do the job: work with budgets, be an advocate for tax payers and small businesses, and fight against government waste, as well as, steer us away from some of the bad decisions currently being made.

ORLANDO, FL – Republican James D. DeCocq qualified as candidate for the Florida House, District 33. DeCocq is a small business owner whose professional life has been dedicated to increasing local control and citizen oversight of our neighborhoods and communities.

DeCocq (De “Cook”) believes this race is raising much interest because of area the District encompasses. “I know that am in a tough race. I am being outspent. But just a few months ago, so were Scott Brown and Marco Rubio.” states DeCocq. “If we bond together and vote for representatives of our communities who are not politically entangled, who are not involved with special interests, and who can actually perform the job: work with budgets, be an advocate for tax payers and small businesses, and fight against government corruption, as well as, steer us away from some of the bad decisions currently being made, we will be able to once again have hope in Florida’s future.”

Without large Tallahassee or Washington fundraisers, or special interest PAC money, DeCocq supporters come by way of neighbors and the tea party movement. “I have already worn the bottom of my shoes going door to door, neighborhood to neighborhood.” says DeCocq, who plans to take a photo of his worn shoes for his photo documents.

“It is not certain that our State won’t face many more hardships. Soon stimulus money will be gone and our educators will once again face job loss. Our business owners will soon be burdened with taxes from this health care bill. All these issues are slowly paralyzing our economy.” says DeCocq. “But one thing is clear, voters do not want politics as usual and they don’t want any more politicians that don’t understand what the people want. As long as my shoes don’t give out on me, I’ll continue gaining support, one voter at a time.”
