 Florida Chamber Gives Kelly a Perfect Score on Pro-Job and Pro-Business IssuesÂ
Florida Chamber of Commerce Releases its 2010 Annual Legislative Report Card
OCALA, Fla. (June 11, 2010) – Conservative small businessman Kurt Kelly, a candidate for Florida’s Eighth Congressional District, scored a perfect 100 on the Florida Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Legislative Report Card. According to the Florida Chamber of Commerce, this report card grades legislators based on their support of pro-job and pro-business issues during the legislative session.
“I am proud to have received the perfect score from my friends at the Florida Chamber of Commerce. As a small businessman myself, I understand the burdens that government can mandate onto free enterprise. When I go to Washington, I will work in Congress to make sure that the federal government is reined in and is not a barrier to Florida businesses so they can succeed and create jobs. If government is not limited and kept in check, free enterprise cannot prosper,” said Kelly.
Kelly added, “While I have a proven track record of supporting pro-business and pro-job legislation, Alan Grayson continues to support initiatives that take our country on the road to bankruptcy. Instead of lessening the tax burden on businesses, Alan Grayson supports policies such as government-run health care, cap and trade tax programs and the addition of billions of dollars of new debt through the so-called stimulus program.”
Kelly currently serves district 24 in the Florida House of Representatives. He is challenging Alan Grayson for the district eight congressional seat. Kelly has recently been endorsed by the Associated Industries of Florida, Congressman Cliff Stearns, Florida House Speaker Larry Cretul and elected officials from Orange, Lake, Osceola, Marion Counties and from throughout the state.
