TEA PARTY ACTIVISTS TO TAKE ROAD TRIP TO ARIZONA
Show Support for Arizona, Spend Money in Local Economy
Orlando—Tea Party activists from Orlando have organized a rally in Phoenix to show support for Arizona and their recently passed immigration bill. With liberal groups calling for a boycott of Arizona, grassroots activists are calling for a BUY-cott of Arizona. The rally, which takes place on Saturday, June 12, at Bolin Memorial Plaza in Phoenix, will be preceded by a week-long road trip, making stops in Houston and Las Cruces for Tea Party rallies.
The road trip will kick off with a Tea Party rally in Orlando on Tuesday, June 8, at 6 p.m., at Orlando City Hall. A few seats on the RVs are still available for anyone who would like to be part of this historic week. Speakers at the Orlando rally will include Todd Long, candidate for Congress in Florida’s Eighth District, Bill Landes of the Florida MinuteMen, and Dave Caulkett of FLIEM.
Speakers at the June 12 rally in Phoenix will include Todd Long, Congressman Steve King (R-IA), former Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO), Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, State Senator Russell Pearce (the author of the bill), Gary Pierce (the Utilities Commissioner who threatened to shut off power to L.A.), and many local activists from Arizona.
